Talula Merriwether Mays is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Staunton, Virginia. Her work includes mask-making, miniatures, experimental film, painting, drawing, photography, book-binding, and installation work. Themes of identity, consciousness, trauma, and the mind's ability to contruct meaning/narrative are central to her work.
